This past weekend I was joined by 400 of my family and friends to help celebrate my 90th Birthday.
I’ve been blessed to have good health and I’m able to focus/work on saving America and Western Civilization 12-13 hours a day 5 ½ days a week, and I enjoy most all of that time. I hate to go to bed at night. I can’t wait to get up in the morning and charge Hell with a bucket of water.
I enjoy my position as Chairman of American Target Advertising (ATA), as well as working with many national conservative leaders as we strategize to save America and Western Civilization.
ATA has 85 team members and 20 clients. We're planning to have 40 clients and 130 team members by this time next year as we take our company to the front lines of the Spiritual Civil War the liberals, progressives, socialists, Marxists have launched against America, our constitution, and liberty/freedom under God’s laws.
Often I’m asked, what’s my secret to being so active and healthy at 90. I’ve recently updated a book on this subject that I wrote when I was 80: How Conservatives Can Outlive Liberals.
Early in our 61 years of marriage, my wife did a major study of health, nutrition, and wellness. Because of that I’ve been focused on having good health habits for almost 60 years.
Here’s the bumper sticker summary. Life is about three things: faith, family, and friends—and everything else is background music.
The cliff note version of my book to life:
I have a strong faith in God. God is as real to me as anything in my life. I believe a strong spiritual life is divided into three parts: prayer, fasting/self-denial, and meditation.
I study, study nutrition and wellness, and then practice good health habits most all of the time.
I have a strong vision/passion to know and do God’s will for my life. My constant prayer and continual vision is to be an instrument and channel for God’s will.
I came into this world consumed with man’s inhumanity to man. As a 12–13-year-old kid playing cops and robbers with other kids in the neighborhood. I didn’t tell anyone but I’m not shooting robbers, I’m shooting commies.
So, before I was a conservative, I was an anti-communist, which is true of most all of us second generation conservatives, such as Phyllis Schlafly, Lee Edwards, Paul Weyrich, Howard Phillips, Ed Feulner, Terry Dolan, Morton Blackwell, David Keene, Phil Crane, Jesse Helms, Tom Ellis, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, etc., etc.
First generation conservatives would be Barry Goldwater and the giants who laid the intellectual foundation for the conservative movement; Bill Buckley Jr., Russell Kirk, Whittaker Chambers, Frank Meyer, Brent Bozell Sr., James Burnham, etc.
When I was younger, I thought my calling from God was to hold public office fighting evil as an elected official.
In 1985 I ran for Lt. Governor of Virginia. I came in 3rd in a 5-person race.
My friend Roger Stone tried to help with campaign advice. Roger said Richard wanted to run for Lt. Governor in the worst way. And he did.
